Celebrating 10,000 Visits!

Holy Cats people!

This big ol’ Dumpster Fire rolled the odometer past 10,000 “visitors” as of yesterday!  For just 16 days of data collection! How is that even possible?

OK, I know how: a FB group with nearly 500K members…

But still — I’m shocked, and in awe at both the numerical statistics as well as the geographic representation (see map below). Anybody who has become fluent enough in a second language to be able to follow my crazy ramblings definitely has my respect!

So from the bottom of my heart, thank you for being a reader!

If a Dumpster Fire ignites, and nobody is around to see the flames, does it actually burn? 🙂

I certainly hope it has been a worthwhile journey thus far, for both regular readers and for one time passers-through who are scattered across 45 different countries around the globe (represented in the map here by being highlighted white).

I obviously need to improve my outreach to outer Mongolia…

People from the USA, Canada, and the UK predictably represent 98.5% of visitors, but that still leaves visitors from 42 other countries who could only have learned about this place from the FB group.

So, for the curious, the following is a little peek into a small silver of those demographics:

  1. United States
  2. Canada
  3. United Kingdom
  4. Ireland
  5. Australia
  6. Korea, Republic of

I confess that I had to google “Guernsey”. 😀 Courtesy of Wikipedia (with the original British-English spellings retained):

Guernsey is an island in the English Channel off the coast of Normandy. … The jurisdiction is not part of the United Kingdom, although defence and most foreign relations are handled by the British Government.

So thank you all again for being here.

Way to go! I have seen a few people from Guernsey in other facebook groups, so now we know some of them love the InstantPot.
