Welcome & Warnings
Consider this a parody site.
Take nothing seriously, unless otherwise indicated.
Stories shared here are in no way a reflection on the source recipes, or their authors!
This site is primarily intended for entertainment purposes only. So take nothing seriously, unless otherwise indicated based on the post’s Category designation.
Nothing stated here should be considered a deterrent to trying things yourself. In the hands of people who know what they are doing, I’m sure every recipe I’ve tried is delicious. But in the hands of a Hot Mess in the kitchen, like me, all bets are off.
If you are new to the Instant Pot — especially if you’re scared to use it — this is might not be the site for you. Do not let the tales you read hear scare you away from the Instant Pot. It is a wonderful product, and all adventures described here are entirely about human error, and not about product inadequacies!
Be advised that there will most certainly be some swearing involved, both expressed and implied, along with gross descriptions of food and of injury (both physical and emotional).
If any of that bothers you, this is not the site for you.
Please make sure you read the FAQ and the Disclaimers, Warnings & Admonishments pages before participating here.
*RECIPE RULES* Recipes may be shared only with credit to Dumpster Fire Cooking School via a link back to this site.
**DISCLAIMER* If you get sick from actually making an altered recipe listed here, that’s on you!

Got a kick out of your trip to the Indian food market story. I had a similiar experience trying to find an Asian food market for an IP recipe. Drove through some streets I never heard of before in my own town! Only one clerk in the store who was there just to process your purchase. He didn’t know anything about cooking! But a couple came in to shop and the wife helped me, and gave me a great education! Who knew there was different flavored soy sauce! Thank goodness for the IP! It has made cooking alot more fun and FB opens our world to so many great teachers like Urvashi!
Oh I just love seeing so many of us come together to help use these IP pots, hopefully we can all spread the word for newbies to have no fear in using them. Seriously some of you are not using them at all, or give up after a few mishaps. PLEASE pass it on. Have no FEAR IP is here, to save you time money, and have fun y’all. Aloha
